So, what's this all about?

Thank you for asking, dear hypothetical viewer. If you see just this page, there are three possibilities. Either I failed even worse than this, or I can no longer write, or this is actually my very first post, so if for some unfathomable reason you would like to read more, please tune in!

But, I digress. What is this blog about? It's simple! It's about celebrating failure! And other stuff as well, but mainly failure.

What. Why? How can you celebrate doing bad at something? Isn't that...the very antithesis of the reason you celebrate something? Shouldn't we celebrate achievements instead? Yeah, I mean, you are right of course. We can only truly celebrate doing something right, and not wrong. And this blog is about this. Sort of.

For reasons I'd rather not go into, I am a huge procrastinator, and an avoider of any kind of challenging activity, unless I am really aware that I am going into a challenge. Main issues come from disliking uncertainty (yes, I know, all people do) and being uncomfortable in failing.

Yes! Failing! I know, we all are. But the people I admire try in spite of failing, and some seem to get a remarkable high from the atttempt itself, and not from the result.

So, I plan to henceforth engage with challenges at the edge of my ability. Those that will more likely fail. These will include world-building, writing, drawing and some gaming. Plus learning Cybersecurity (pivoting from Java dev due to AI) and also, in what little time I have left, studying Philosophy of Mind and basic Neurobiology. Why? Because I love learning about how I think.

This blog will serve mainly as my proof to the universe that I take failing seriously henceforth. And to take it seriously, it needs to be public.

I also plan to go into other subjects as well, and try to articulate what I learned or have in mind from time to time, but that is a side activity. The primary activity is to fail, and log my failures publicly. So they have a bite.

Feel free to call me out or have fun at me. That's the idea. But if you do want to comment, please do so civilly.

Oh, and for the first failure, I have promised to start this blog last year. And have postponed it for no good reason for 4 whole months.

Strong failure, don't you think?
